This original architectural monument was built in the mid 18th century as a building for the police department but subsequently was significantly altered. It is known as the police office Konaka.
From 1956 the building is reconstructed for an exposition of the Vidin weaponry historical museum.
The archeological exhibition of the museum has rich funds of prehistoric findings from the city, dating from the late Paleolithic era -40000-10000 years BC, Thracian bronze ornaments from Gradetz and many other valuable exhibits. Particularly rich are the finds from the Roman period among which is a statuette of Heracles from Ratziariya.
